    We did this by putting the runners into pots (still attached to parent plants) over the winter
  • Divided to Strawberries grown by Nina & Group by Hamish, Sat 27th Mar '10
    We cut the potted 'runners' off and moved them to a new bed once established
  • Harvested by Thérèse, Sat 19th Jun '10
    First real crop off these plants - and delicious!

These runners from my Lake District plants were planted in midsummer and then trimmed of all their leaves to reduce shock of the move - it worked and soon they had regrown and even fruited. I think the variety is 'mara des bois' a smallish perpetual fruiting one....
