Beetroot "Golden" sown by Nina

Beetroot "Golden" (Beta vulgaris)

Vegetable - Edible?: Edible

From Chiltern Seeds who say - "This is a quite remarkable, two-for-the-price-of-one, recent reintroduction. As easy to grow as any Beetroot, this produces roots with a most attractive bright golden-yellow colour, retained when cooked, of a delicious flavour and which will surely make your salads glow. Not only that, but the foliage can be used in exactly the same way as Spinach - indeed, the raisers, biased no doubt, reckon it tastes even better - Popeye please note!"
