Chiltern Seeds say: "A glowing, 100 rather than 60 watt, cultivated variety of Salvia coccinea (Cat. No. 1136A) with long, uncluttered spikes of flowers of a vibrant light scarlet in colour. Could well find itself in the front, show zone of the garden! May be hardy outside in some regions with frost-free protection in winter. 18 ins."
